JOHN BELLAMY

John Bellamy shot his first clay target in 1977 with his father at Howden Gun Club and became a member of the CPSA in 1978. He then went on to compete in both junior and senior competitions, and has enjoyed a successful national and international shooting career ever since, representing England at Down The Line from 1991 till 2009.

John is currently on the British Shooting coaching team, with special responsibility to coach double trap to Juniors. He represented Great Britain and England at the Olympic discipline of Double Trap from 1996-2003 and was also a member of UK Sport Elite Athlete Programme (Lottery Funded) 2001-3. John is a Commonwealth record holder, and a previous winner of the Krieghoff Classic shoot in North Wales. He is a CPSA Qualified Instructor and has been involved in coaching shooters for many years, plus is an experienced game shooter. Customers at Park Lodge enjoy his calm and friendly approach and wealth of experience.

BRIAN THOMPSON

Well known for his relaxed and patient style, Brian started shooting at the age of 10 and has both shot on some of the best game shoots in Yorkshire or has been there with clients.

An all-round country sportsman, Brian’s passion for game shooting has taken him across the globe, from shooting doves in Argentina, to hunting wild boar in France and stalking both red and roe deer in the UK. He has guided many an aspiring shooter in their first foray into game shooting and has organised and hosted many shooting days.

We’re delighted to have him as one of our longest serving instructors at Park Lodge, where he excels at getting the best from our clients. As well as being a full member of the Association of Professional Shooting Instructors, Brian also has experience of gun fitting. KEVIN JOBLIN

Kevin is the shoot owner of one of Yorkshire’s Top 20 shoots based at Jervaulx and we are very fortunate that this year he has set targets at Park Lodge.

Kevin has also joined our team of instructors and will be undertaking one on one and small group coaching in two hour sessions at Park Lodge, sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience with both novice and experienced shooters.

Over the past five years Kevin has been a member of the Great Britain FITASC Sporting Senior Team four times and an England FITASC and Sporting team member 11 times. His has an outstanding list of achievements in competitions including becoming a European Team Gold Medallist in 2013, a World Team Gold medallist in 2014 and the United Kingdom FITASC Sporting Champion in 2010, 2012 and 2014. Kevin was also named the British FITASC Sporting Grand Prix Champion in 2009, runner up in 2011 and runner up at the English Open FITASC Sporting 2014.
