YOUNG GUNS

In response to the increasing popularity in clay shooting since the London 2012 Olympics, we are delighted to have launched the ‘Young Guns at Park Lodge’ programme, delivering tailored shooting coaching to schools and individual juniors.

Pupils from Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Wakefield have already visited us for clay shooting lessons as part of the Schools’ enrichment afternoons, which offer a varied range of extra-curricular activities designed to bring students out of their comfort zone and try something new. Running throughout 2014, 75 pupils aged between 12 and 18 subscribed to the clay shooting experience and developed their skills on the shooting grounds’ wide range of clay layouts including Down the Line, English Skeet and different English Sporting Targets.

The boys are having a brilliant time learning to shoot and we believe that this sport provides outstanding opportunities for them to develop new skills that are transferable to many aspects of life beyond their school years. It requires common sense, encourages responsibility and perhaps most importantly, it’s serious fun: boys of all shapes, sizes and ages can excel through grit, determination and practice!
